The weighted end should be dropped through the body and foot joint with the headjoint removed. 2 or 3 pulls through the instrument will soak up moisture and prevent both sticking pads and odors.The unique headjoint swab fits into the end of your cleaning rod. The 2 flaps should be folded together and inserted in the slot in the rod.
